Hooray I'm an Aunt again!!!

One of my dear friends, Wani, in Indy finally had her second little boy (She went 41 1/2 weeks)!!! Josiah Christian Penrod joined this world at 3:50 a.m. this morning, after 19 hours of labor and two hours of hard pushing Wani was able to have him at home like she really wanted to and everything went wonderfully. Here are the pictures that are posted on her blog. He weighed in at 8lb.8oz. and is 21 inches long. While I am not actually Wani's sister biologically, sometimes God gives you sisters (and brothers) who are just as dear to you as your biologically related siblings, I am so glad that He gave me Wani! Life is good here, we are preparing to go home to Indiana on Monday adn are staying the whole week. Em and I are painting Kira Grace's room. When Kirsten moved into her 'big girl' room to make room for Kira in the nursery we did a bang up job of painting her room, so now it is Kira's turn to have a room painted especially for her. The nursery will be no more and there will now be just two 'big girl' rooms. I am looking forward to spending time with family. I doubt I will post more before Easter so I hope you all remember the amazing gift that was given for us on that cross so long ago. God bless each of you. Safe travels for those of you who will do so.

Work in Progress

So I am doing a little sprucing up of my blog. I decided that I didn't like the dark dots anymore, but when I went to switch to the white dot template they changed the color of the actual dots. I didn't like that, and so I began looking through the other templates. At this point you may be thinking..."Gee I have never seen this template she is using before." That is because I didn't really like any of the ones they offered...so I decided to pick the one that I saw the most potential in and I...well...I 'tweaked' (Or for Dana's one friend I tweaked it)...I drug up from the recesses of my mind all that I knew about HTML and began sifting through code. Through much trial and error I managed to remove what I didn't want and add what I did...mostly. I enjoyed myself enormously and only had to call in reinforcements late in the game..thank you Kev. So I am still tinkering and will continue to tinker until it is the way I have it in my head, or I give up. Whichever comes first. SO I hope you like the new palate and layout, if not....well too darn bad. giggle. Hope all is well with all of you.

Wow....I can be a real downer.

Jeez. That last posting was really dark. Sorry. Anyone of you who has dealt with depression can sympathize, but still...jeez... So life still isn't rosy but hey, when is it? Even so God is good and He provides for our needs! We are going to have enough money for rent, (and even food too!!!) Emily has been contacted by Shedd Aquarium about a possible job that could be used to step into a job that she would actually enjoy and be happy in. I have several good leads about work, too bad most of it doesn't start until June, but hey I am keeping all my options open. Emily has new carpet in her room which means that we can move all her stuff back in...hooray! My friend Amy is pregnant again...hooray! My friend Wani is going to give birth any moment now I just know it! Finally, I booked my trip to Indy (and thereby down to Vincennes) for the CCF house farwell, for only $2.50. HOORAY! I get to go , and not only do I get to go down to the CCF house I will get to spend some extra time with Wani and her new little one, not to mention Nate and Isaac too! I am SO excited. The weather here is schizo, warm sunny beautiful, rainy cloudy butt-cold. It sucks, I want at least rainy, cloudy and WARM. I am done with cold. Ah well, such is life. The pics today, well let's see...the first is representative of my longing for spring and warmer weather. I love how the flower in it is from a thistle plant. Even yucky ouchie plants (or experiences) can produce beautiful things. The second is my longing for peaceful calm. A time where outside things don't matter, there is just quietness, the gentle sounds of water lovingly lapping the side of the boat, and God. *Sigh* Keep on keeping on, or to say it another way Keep pressing on towards the goal!
P.s. I re-vamped my blog whadda think???

Without God I really do have NOTHING.

I am so glad that I have God in my life. I am pretty sure that without Him I would not be here right now. The weight of the world would have crushed my spirit beyond the breaking. As it is I am feeling so weary and tired. I just want to lay down and not bother getting back up. The energy it takes to keep smiling and telling people I am fine and dandy isn't worth it any more. God has used many different things to help me continue to get out of bed each morning, and drudge on with life. I know that He has plans for me to prosper me but right now I have no job rent is looming large in three weeks, my sister's unemployment benifets unexpectedly stopped and I don't see a resolution to this situation. So God, You need to steer my moves right now, help me apply to were I need to apply to in order to gain employment that I won't hate. Your prayers are needed and coveted. Thanks.
